Who are we, and what do we do?
Timesaver Guided Tours, Railfan Guided Tours, and Educator Guided Tours
are a group of businesses established in Melbourne, the capital city of
the State of Victoria, Australia, by Kevin Hall.
They offer personalised guided tours of Melbourne and Victoria for visitors
from overseas and interstate. The tours are individually designed
to meet the visitor’s particular interests and needs, and to make
the best use of the time they have available.
Why three names?
Although the three businesses are inter-connected, they each cater for
different groups of clients:
Timesaver Guided Tours provides a wide range of special interest
and popular sightseeing tours for visitors in general, but particularly
those with limited time.
Railfan Guided Tours caters for people interested in trains and
trams.
Educator Guided Tours meets the interests and needs of visiting
teachers, university staff, or education administrators.
"Railfan" and "Educator" tours can easily be combined
with any of the special interest or popular sightseeing tours offered
by Timesaver Guided Tours.
Your host ...
Kevin Hall, the proprietor and operator, loves travel and sightseeing. He
was born and raised in Melbourne and knows his capital city and home state
very well. He has also travelled widely interstate and internationally
and is well aware of what it is like to be a visitor in an unfamiliar
place. Consequently, he is able to effectively provide the services
and support that visitors need and expect.
With an extensive knowledge of the most attractive and interesting locations
in Melbourne and Victoria and how to get to them, Kevin can suggest an
itinerary that will meet your needs as closely as possible. A life-long
hobby interest in trains and trams provides enthusiasm and knowledge to
share with other railfans, and, with a professional background as a school-teacher
and Faculty of Education lecturer, he is well placed to offer informative
tours for visiting educators.
