SPECIAL INTEREST TOURS
Tell us what you want to see or do and we will design a Special
Interest itinerary to meet your wishes. (Some particular Special
Interests that we cater for are described below.)
If you don't have any specific ideas in mind, we will suggest
an itinerary based on one or a combination of our Special Interest
and Popular Sightseeing Tours.
Any of our suggested tours can be adapted and combined to suit
your particular wishes.
Zoos and Sanctuaries
- Local zoos and sanctuaries emphasise natural surroundings rather
than cages and concrete walls.
Historical Buildings and Locations - Many buildings and locations of note in the history
of Victoria have been preserved.
Beaches - Gentle
bay beaches and wild ocean surf beaches are all easily accessible.
Forests - Cool,
peaceful forests can be explored on well-marked tracks close
to Melbourne and throughout the state.
Museums - A wide
range of museums caters for general and special interests.
Galleries - There
are many galleries, representing all areas of the visual arts.
Sporting Venues
- Some of the best-known venues in international sport can be
found in Melbourne, such as the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the

fun park, and there are several theme or adventure parks which
provide a range of activities for children or the young at heart.
Wineries - There
are several wine regions in Victoria, all producing high quality
wines.
Restaurants - Melbourne
is known as the restaurant capital of Australia. Almost any type
of ethnic cuisine can be found, and vigorous competition keeps
prices low and quality high.
Universities and Schools
- Educators may be interested in visiting university or school
campuses. Observation of classes can also be organised if sufficient
notice is given.
Railway and Tramway Depots, Junctions, and
Museums - If you are a railfan, you
may want to visit some railway or tramway locations. Vintage
train and tram tours are also run from time to time and may fit
in with your visit. Other transport interests, such as buses,
planes, or ships, can also be catered for.
Parks and Gardens
- Victoria is known as "The Garden State", the temperate
climate encouraging a rich variety of plant life.
